Apparently your old boss was the person in front of me. I'm the guy in the blue jacket in the bottom left of the picture.

I took my chances and got 8th chair on 37. It was like skier cross when the rope dropped near 21, complete sh*tshow. Took two runs off 39. Snow was very soft and a lot deeper than I expected.

Thoughts on blue sky today? Anything decent in those trees?

Looks like 37 and 39 will be opening Friday. 17 and 21 Tomorrow.

I've skied the three valleys. Very accessible from Santiago which was nice for me because it was a shorter trip. Nothing really crazy inbounds there, pretty mellow actually.

I've been twice with the Steamboat crew. Not the narliest terrain, but the snow was fantastic both times. Buffalo pass gets a lot more snow than Steamboat, I'd go back in a heartbeat.

I have this lens on my 7D and I rarely change it out. Best walk around lens for a cropped body for Canon, no question.

You'll love it. Having a wide angle lens lets you look at things in a complete different fashion.

Check out the new Canon 15-85. I think you might find the 17-50 isn't long enough for a single lens quiver. I have the 17-55 and it doesn't cut it on the long end.

How accurate is the altimeter

I just got the 7D and it has 8 frames per second shooting. Sounds like a fully auto gun going off when in rapid fire. (speed not loudness) It's seem to be a very nice upgrade over the 40D.

Really nice lighting on that first lambo shot. On the thrid one, were you on a ladder or something? Looks like you were pretty high up when taking that shot.
