I heard Keene Valley was evacuated, the fire station was swept away and two bridges are out...

there are at least 2 new slides already this year from the wet spring/early summer

had a great week in the central adk.did some mtb and climbed wakely mt, one of the tallest fire towers in the adk

don't know much about croghan except the beaver river runs right through it. there's some decent mtb trails off rt 177 on the xc ski trails.

google marcy panther gorge east face slide. there's tons of info online

you might be able to park and sleep at the dolly copp campground.
doesn't officially open til mid-may

xc skied at burnet park the last two nights. sucked because skis sink right to bottom,the ground is still warm and the skis ice up. good workout, though

blew a foot and a half out of my driveway this a.m. a coworker from truxton said they didn't get anywhere near that.

I don't think there's any way there's enough snow to ski there. There's too many branches etc on the ground. Should have fun hiking around, though.
