Well, if Steiner is 4-5 miles past Bald Mountain Pass, then you'll have Hayden Peak close by. I have no idea if there's still snow there, but there are some fun couloirs off Hayden.

I was at that meeting/discussion at Wild Rose last year. I recall one of the issues being that giving out maps of "safe zones" to go to during high danger conditions was not necessarily a good idea....
