hit ye olde walpole mtb track this afternoon. fun mellow trails. Fell over into a DEEP mud puddle, soaked ankle to shoulder. At least the phone stayed dry!

my advise is to splurge on a seat and scrimp elsewhere.

do you have this synced to a ipod or some other device?
If so, you might try connecting that as USB storage, then copying the files from the ipod/device back to the hard drive? I have done that...

maybe try touring in just a baselayer, if it's not snowing/windy.
should keep you cool enough you don't sweat, and warm enough if you're moving.
