^^ Pics? I was really torn between the UHMW or the ultralight. Deciding factor was actually the glossiness of the ultralight - excited to see how it looks with the BPS graphic. But I do kinda like the way the Protest graphic looks with the matte topsheet, so I'm curious how the BPS looks.
If one of the Tahoe guys would let me ski a couple of runs on these (if and when we ever get snow), would be super grateful. I already have Protests and BCs (and Dynafit Stokes/Mustaghs for touring), so really wasn't in the market for another pair of skis. But these are such a great idea and would love to ski them.

Hoping to see the 196's early next week. Keith's last email said the should be shipping by the end of this week. I got my sollyfits waiting on the bench.

Hell yeah, Rockband! Now I don't have to post pics. Are yours the ultralight topsheet or the nylon? I honestly can't get over how light my pair with the ultralight nylon are. I'll have to get them on a scale, but they feel damn light.

Has anyone put a pair of the lightweight topsheet ones on a scale? Curious where the weight ended up.
^^^ mine are the standard nylon topsheet and they weigh 4 lb 7 oz each. When I switched the scale to grams, they weighed exactly the same as each other, which is impressive.
I'm really impressed with the quality of Keith's skis. And whoever said it above was dead on - the blue sidewall, BPS topsheet, black yellow bases, is a killer combo.
EDIT: I got them on a better scale today. 1995 grams each.

I went with the regular topsheet for this year. From the website: We are now using a more durable Nylon blended top sheet that is not only lightweight, it's stronger with better chip and scratch resistance. Seriously though, somebody ski this things in snow that you sink into more than 3mm. I can't do that. And I'm about to start stabbing puppies and bunnies.
I got knee deep soft here today and not even going out. Sorry. Gotta wash my socks and take the seats out of my van for a road trip. I'd ski your's for you this week, but you know, tyranny of distance and all that stuff.
