K2 Public Enemy vs Rossignol Scratch BC
 

I could get a Rossignol Scratch BC with a Rossignol Scratch 100 binding for 500€(=580$) or a K2 Public Enemy with a Marker Titanium 1200 Free binding for 400€(=464$). Which one shall I get? What exactly is the rocking chair effect of the Scratch BC? Wouldn't that make you lose balance? Which one is more durable?

What are you gonna be using the skis for?

freeriding and powder is what i love the most. oh yeah and reckless highspeed-skiing of course ;) generally everything that gets your blood pumping. i also wanna do a bit of park, but not too much

Get the PE's... They are more versatile..

Edit: But if you ski some place that gets lots of pow... Go for the Seth Pistols...

The bc or fs are so the way to go ive ridein the pupic enemeys nothin to the smoothness of rossis line. :eek: :eek:

The rocking chair effect? Like when it is center mounted and the ski will fall forward instead of staying back all the time like a normal ski. You get used to it.

well, in the thread http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/s...&threadid=1885 this dude says that the "Scratch BC is too heavy to be a good park ski, and too soft to be a good all-mountain ski". Would you second that? Shall I rather get the PE? And which one is better in terms of durability and stability?
EDIT: I'm 1,87m (6"3). Is a 179 PE to short for me? If I were to get rossis, should I get a 182 or 188 BC?

This question really depends on how much pow your gonna be riding, if not much at all go with the PE's, but the 10 mm in the waist makes a big difference in my mind....You also might wanna think about the V-pro's....great all-mountain ski, 83 in the waist, and not bad in the park, it may solve all your problems.....
