  1. You guessed it. Welcome to the east coast, you'll need your love of skiing to transition for sure! Seriously though, there is plenty of good options just have to get the lay of the land and pick your spots.

The best advice I can give you if you are interested in more serious backcountry skiing in the east, go to http://timefortuckerman.com.

Not sure if you've been tipped off to that yet, but it will be a lot easier find what you are looking for and meet up with good folks. There is a roll call area that is really useful for that.

So if you haven't been there already, grab a login over there and dig in. And yes maybe we can meet up sometime! My name is the same over there and I also have a blog you might be able to get some info from, http://easternbackcountry.com

Best of luck, feel free to PM me at T4T with questions.

    Sweet pic!
So, rookie question for a guy new to Cambridge from Vancouver, BC.

    Where was that photo taken?
    J-ladder?

I've extended this offer to the other guys on TGR but if people are willing to show me and the Mrs. a new ski spot to skin up and earn our turns, I'll haul a beer or two to the top for em in return.
Both AST certified, both with a few seasons of Whistler / Roger's pass under our belts. Both of us having freshly moved to Boston and brought out our touring gear "just incase"

Anyway, if you can offer some beta on the local, day-trippable spots, there's definitely a beer in it for you!
