Had a buddy ask me about them. Apparently they are out of Orem (ut). I don't know anything about them, but figured I'd ask the collective. I think he's looking for a road machine.
Any experiences +/- would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

don't think I'd suggest that company or Ibex to anyone who intends to ride more than 1-2x per month. for a more serious (or to-be-serious) rider a used bike would be a better way to spend the same coin.

That's what I thought, but never hurts to ask. I've already steered him to a good LBS in his area. (and given the used bike suggestion too....)

yeah, their "marketing" angle is pretty solid -- they know how to tug at a man's wallet, how to appeal to the "practical" side of most gearheads.
unfortunately they're selling very low-quality stuff. as I said, not bad for a very occasional rider, but nothing I'd put a friend on unless I was sure that friend would pretty much buy the bike and then let it be a dust magnet.;)

When I saw the title, I thought you were talking about the Ferrari edition bikes Colnalgo is making this year.

I did too. Thought it was the Ferrari line for Colnago. Ferzzari? Sounds cheap and not good.

They just came out with a new DH bike, looks like a total rip-off of the Foes 2:1 Mono. Looked fairly nice though, saw one up at Wolf Mtn this fall.

Do you have any factual basis for disliking Ibex? Here is my experience:
I have ridden the crap out of my Ibex Section 29 (29er hardtail) this summer with zero issues. It's survived many hard rides, including Toads, Xmas Valley, Missing Link/Western States, and most of the legal parts of the TRT. The parts are very well chosen, and I couldn't buy the same build kit for what I spent on the complete bike.
The only downside is that it doesn't win me any cred points in the parking lot and I haven't felt the need to post "look how much I spent on my new bike" build photos.
Additionally:
-Ibex bikes come packed better than any bicycle I've ever seen in my life. Mine came double boxed and every part of the frame was well wrapped.
-They come with extras you'd only expect on a more expensive bike. My Section 29 came with nice Shimano SPD pedals that would have cost me about $60, in addition to a vial of touchup paint and a nice set of allen keys for final assembly.
-I couldn't find any parts that were skimped on. Cables were Jagwire, etc.
-The paint is very nice and has held up well.
-They use an actual head badge, not paint or a sticker.
In summary, my Ibex experience was much better than most interactions I've had with "real" bike shops or "real" bike brands, and I saved a shedload of money that I have been using to go riding.

Oops, looks like I suck at typing:fmicon:
Bump from way, way back.
So, I got a friend with pretty limited budget looking to buy a bike for another friend. It is a gift. It has to be new. I tried hard to convince them that they could get so much better a used bike for 2-2,500. BUT, this is apparently non-negotiable.
i would like to see them pick up a specialized enduro evo, but even that is stretching their budget.
anyone have any knowledge of Fezzari bikes?

Some guy brought a Fezzari bike on a group ride a few years ago. All I remember is every single pivot bolt coming loose throughout the ride. We had to stop to tighten all the bolts every few miles. But this was a few years ago, maybe they've gotten better.

Locktite is used on many bikes that get alot of hype around here.
I'm interested in feedback. They have a good price point on known components. I see them around all over the place. I've never seen a review by anyone other than someone it looks like they paid to put up on their site.
Lot's of people have said positive things about blue house skis here? I've never been enough of a risk taker to try either.

Fezzari name = rip off on Ferrari name. use some "action" letters,( Z's) and capitalize on the familiarity of the name, creating the illusion of quality or legacy.
I have seen a few in my shop for service recently. Both needed typical 30-day adjustments and reassemble work. (loose pedals, disc brakes rubbing, stretched cables, wobbly wheels $75+)
Purchased by consumers shopping solely by price and what fancy parts the bike has, rather than R&D, fit, service, assembly, follow-up service and warranty. One guy is clearly on a bike 2 sizes too big. Can't fix stupid.
Both were by first-time users thinking they were getting a better bike cheaper, Fail!

Blue house Mavens were the worst fat ski I have ever been on.
I am gonna keep pushing this friend to buy a used bike for same price. I don't think they will budge, but I can try.
The components on that Alta Peak are pretty impressive for the price though.
Thanks for the info. I have actually never seen one in Tahoe.

Spent the other week with a big group in Fruita and GJ. One guy in the group had the nebo peak. Another had the alta peak. We rode hard 30+ mile days. Nothing broken on either Fezzari and both of the riders dug their bikes. Price point on those things you pay for the components and get the frame for free. Take it FWIW.....

I bought a Cascade Peak a couple months ago. I have taken it to Moab, Corner Canyon trails, Draper Downhill, Bobsled, ParkCity and the bike has been great. If you live in Utah Fezzari makes a lot of sense since they will service the bike for the first year for free and after that you can still take it to them for regular maintenance/repairs.
good to hear some positive stuff as well. price point is unreal. i will pass the info along.

Anyone remember the Mercedes Bike back in the 90s that was actually a Amp full suspension. They had that sweet fork.
I thought this was about Ferrari too.
