The road to the happy ending I'd hoped for got a little longer yesterday. I spoke with the good Dr. V before they wheeled me into surgery; he intended to pin the broken bits without cutting me open. But the road to hell and all that . . . .
After trying valiantly to get all the pieces-parts into their respective places for forty minutes, Dr. V filleted me from palm to mid-forearm.
The good news is that there is no tendon or ligament damage; all the bones and fragments fit neatly together; and, I have some new hardware.
The bad news is that it hurts like HELL!

Not that this compares to the pain, but, cool pic. Lucky bones heal quick. Tendons and ligs take forever.

Glad to hear, uh, no ligaments are damaged.
Seriously, though, heal up quick.
And remember, with today's pharmaceuticals, there's no reason you should be in pain.

those are some long screws! do they come out through the skin and will be removed later?
your scar will be choice. you gotta tan that shit ASAP after you get the stiches out - you don't want that baby fading on you.
Nice Avatar! perhaps my new favorite (after Britney's of course) ;)
From the looks of that one view the alignment is perfecto! :D
I hope you can still hoist a beer with the other one. You need to medicate the pain.
Get well soon.

good luck and TAKE DRUGS! It's better to stop the pain before it starts than to try to manage once it's got you pinned down.
And yes, chicks definitely dig scars. (but do guys?? just wondering, being the proud owner of several).
Heal fast IG!

Scars are a sign that you living a life worth living. I wouldn't date a woman who has no scars because they obviously don't know how to have fun. At least not fun as I define it.
Oh, yeah, and enjoy the drugs and get better fast IG.
PS. you got a bigger version of the xray? :D
