still a little sweaty in the sun, but, yes, the breezy nights make a drive over the Turnpike bridge just luscious.

My terrace = fantastic right now.
On another note - any of you guys drive the Blazer with the Keep Tahoe Blue sticker on it that was parked out front last week?

The nights are very nice and cool here too in the mountains west of NJ, but the god damn cicadas around here are driving me nuts. If I open my windows, I hear those damn bugs making their two-beat singing noise all night long. It's keeping me awake.

Was up in NE Pennsylvania this weekend. My parents are in Lake Wallenpaupack nowadays... weather was incredible. Absolutely perfect. Grand. Excellent.
However, *something* up there triggers hellacious allergies in me this time every year. I try to mitigate by taking Claritan, but that only keeps it at bay for about 12 hours. Today, I evidently don't have any nasal passages to breath through and I want to scratch out my eyes.

I find that sound somewhat soothing, and it can send me into a nod if I have a beer and joint in hand.

Apparently the cicadas mating season is nearing a close, and apparently they also have a temperature, in the lower 60s/upper 50s, at which they stop making their god awful noise. On a cool evening, the sounds stop at the temps drop.

Went to Bosco actually, but about half my friends went to Ramapo.

No, but was friends with them and a few other Wykoff girls at UDEL.
Besides, I'm too cool to be hailing from Bergen county ... I keep it real in Essex you know.

Hey now, us Wyckoff girls rock.
(OK, so I grew up here and after college lived in NYC, Los Angeles and then Clifton but I guess I'm still a Wyckoff girl at heart.... not one of those snobby ones tho -- in high school, actually hung out with folks from North Haleden, Oakland and the Pompton Lakes area -- cooler peeps.).

I'll give credit where credit is due and I think one of those times would be now. But yes, you girls are alright in my book ... definitely a lot better than the ones from surburbia Essex where if you crash a brand new $100k S500, you are then rewarded with a brand new $120k S600.
The only caveat here is if your summers were spent at Djais, Temps, or Surf Club, then and only then will I be forced to rescind all praise.
EDIT - I'll be back in the dirty this weekend ... drinks anyone?

Nick will you forgive me if I stayed at the Surf Club when I was a youngster and partied there in my high school days? My excuse is that my Dad was was best friends with the owner. Please forgive? ;)

Yes, you are forgiven ... if and only if none of your friends have an Italian flag on the back of their cars.
And I'm probably no better since I worked two summers at Water Works.

When we say Water Works, are we talking Seaside Heights Water Works???
<cough, cough.. and Sussex County... cough, cough>
I'd be intrigued to hear the North Haledon connections though.. good friend from college haled (ha) from there.. graduated HS 1994...

Yes, the Water Works of SH. First summer was fun - 18 and getting hit on by 16 y/o's. Second summer was equally great but it was instead 12 y/o's and that got old after a few minutes. Also, about 95% of the patrons didn't speak English so when I was manning the slide and told them to wait, they would jump in 10 at a time and snap someone's neck. Good times.
I also did some time at Jenks the Bar. That was crazy fun.
And since this is a NJ thread .... I'll be in Montclair tonight for drinks for all interested parties.

Working at WW sounds quite like working at Action Park. Ahhh... summers past.
Dang, was up in Montclair last night looking at a condo in the hood. You should have heard Aldo's message.
Hey, so did you go look at that place? Umm... I'd make sure I got to know the area first before... well, it might.. well... you reall don't want to be there... Needless to say, not putting a bid in!
How long you in town?

Montclair is a great place to live. Good mix of people and culture ... probably the best of its kind in NJ.
I'll be in town until late Sunday.

Depends on the area. I went to TSC so can comment that Trenton is indeed an armpit... Hamilton/Ewing/Lawrence are the proverbial tracks.... and if you lived on the other side of those bounds, then it wasn't necessarily that bad!

couldn't agree with you more, but I gave up trying to tell that to anyone not living in the area...
My main gripe is how boring it is. Until it snows, that is. Then I drive out of town.

(hope school is going well)
And NorCascader... wazzzzzup? ;)
Rainy and foggy here today - - pushing away to hot and humid (?!?) in the afternoon. I anticipate this is going to be one of those years where it is mild, mild, mild, mild and then WHAM winter hits ya.
