Yes, I searched. What I have found is that the consensus is that the Cannon A610 is the way to go if you want a solid point and shoot camera with a decent continuous shoot mode(2.5fps)

The problem is that the Cannon A610 is not sold anymore. I've looked around in the threads on here and have not found anything that hits the 2.5fps continuous shoot mode that is still a point and shoot. I have also looked around on the net and not found anything that shoots that fast that is still a point and shoot. It seems that everything has gone higher mega pixel and slower frame rate.

So what are the maggots using to replace the A610? I need something that has a good continuous shoot mode for taking action shots of mt biking and snowboarding. I am looking under $300 and point and shoot. Bulk isn't a huge problem, but I would like something on the medium to small size.

*sigh* well, after having 2 orders not go through because they said they have them on the website, but were really out of stock, I have l lost all faith. Have called several places and no luck

my sd 630 has continuous shoot on it .

only drawback i have with it is no viewfinder and the lcd screen can be hard to see in high sunlight.
