Psych.

I do get to ride it for a couple days, though, and I'm in love. Holy fuck squish is fun. It's completely out of my price range, though, and blinged out so it's lighter than my old commuter.

Is that a team color or something? I've never seen that before.

Damn, that is one fine ride. Enjoy and congrats on your sweet pimp ride.

I think it's the 08 model. It's part of the specialized demo fleet, and they brought them for our shop ride tonight, so we could get on them and get a feel.

I'm seriously considering a less nice version of it, though. One without a carbon frame, for sure...at 245 I'm wary.

Is that a women's version or something? Or are they trying to revive the pink stumpy from the 80's?

1) There is a pink stumpy. It is hawt. But this one is gray and red.
2) Yeah, specialized is making an XL woman's frame with a jacked up seatpost.

You should totally keep talking about bikes all summer and not actually get one. Especially ones totally out of your price range. That'll be super productive. Maybe even start another thread or two.

I'd be wary at 245 as well. What is that rear shock all about?

Touche, Z. Maybe someday I'll buy a bike.

and the rear shock is the specialized version of the brain fade on the epic.

Oh I see, it looked pink at first glance. I guess I should go check out the sneak peek catalog they sent us at the shop. I did see the Gangster Langster, its rad.

Always skip the carbon for metal. Smack that bike into a sharp rock and.....well, see how much you like putting you 245 on it to get home. Carbon is for road bikes, not for bikes that smack on rocks and grind on things.

I concur.

I also wouldn't even consider the bike pictured above to be for smacking on rocks and grinding on things.

Sqautch...just get a DirtBag and call it good.

Thats why I'm saving up for the Enduro SL Pro M5 rather than the carbon.
