Where's the best place to get pirated programs? I'm doing a report at school on the problems of software piracy and I need a good source to, uh, study. PM me if you wish. Thanks

Yes, and China (http://www.salon.com/tech/feature/2002/09/26/piracy_unlimited/).
Another interesting topic would be the migration of software development jobs to India.

Its not really that interesting.
They'll do the job a 100,000 a year programmer over here will do for 30,000.
But the code will suck.
I lost my first dotcom job to India company migration, but thankfully walked away with stupid huge stock options.

Congrats on the options! Hoping mine pay off someday...had friends who did very well during the boom, I've managed to remain employed but that'll be changing in three weeks (yikes).
Yeah, one of my previous employers used a Russian contracting firm to do a 3 month job...that turned into a year. Then we actually got the code, which was literally unusable, and the documentation, which was ten lines of text written in Notepad.
I rewrote it in three months. When I met face to face with the contractor, he admitted it was his first "big" C++ project...probably the first time he'd used the language.
