why do 920s weigh so much? 6lbs 9oz vs 3lbs for 916s
also what is the difference in the different variations of salomon binders (lab/equipe/fis/ect)?

Because your 916 weight is per binding, and your 920 weight is per pair?
The rest of the difference is probably the extra 4 springs in the 920s.

you going to be running a din higher than 16?
theres a good thread somewhere about the differences between some of the older salomon bindings. Mechmaster really wrote up a nice post. Might have been in a thread started by SuPu or ElChupa I think. Not that that helps you a lot.

not higher than 16 but i prefer to be in the middle of a range and the 920s are actually cheaper where I'm looking.
