Heading to the North side of town instead of the wood this week. How are the conditions at Sugar Bowl, Alpine, and Squaw right now?

In general, Alpine is still pretty thin off the groomers. There is a lot of bushes and small trees that are still not covered by the snow.
There are spots that the wind has blown in a fair amount of snow, like the D's.
Probably still want your rock skis if you are going to head out to lower beaver or promise land.

Kirkwood last Saturday was good.
Squaw Sunday pretty much sucked. My knees are still shell shocked.

At Squaw on Monday. Same as reported for Alpine. Some exposed brush, some rocks and hard snow, a bit of ice. All lifts heading to the ridgetops were on wind hold all day. Off piste not very good at all due to thin coverage. Groomers were OK but got old. All in all, squaw felt very small Monday. Supposed to get some snow this week but they really need two good storms to be in full swing.

Alpine's conditions sucked today. Had the 200 GS skis tuned over lunch and had some fun on the pseudo-Ice Coast conditions.
That said, storm starting.... now.

Squaw was good Saturday- lots of windbuffed, but not icy. Might be worse today.
P.S. GO PATS!
