My pard and I are wanting to ski the Skillet Glacier in the spring (late May or early June). I am familliar with the approach (I have been on the lower Skillet and have climbed all but the last 500' of the NE ridge, we stopped too long to look at that old airplane wreckage), but I am looking for more details on the upper portion. How steep is it in a good snow year ? One ice axe or two ? Any local JH mags want to show us the lead ? We'll supply the canoes and beer.
