The website is reporting a 135 Cm base mid mountain.
Any info what this means for this hill in regards to actual reality.
Would rock skis be needed for lower mountain riding?
Would cautious skiing be required up top? IE more snow needed to hide / cover most rocks, small trees, schrubs? Tread lightly?

Beleive in the dream and it will come true.
I saw the numbers up there for that last 3 weeks and no way in hell was I going to miss the opening.
First time going there and can't wait to enjoy that 351 cm to date.

you're not going to be dissapointed by the mountain. Especially with the amount of snow they have right now.

I've been jonesing to make the trip to KH since it opened a few years back. They've had a bunch of lean years. It prolly has had more snow already this year than in some of the other entire seasons, from what I recall.

It rocked, base is wicked good, slightly thining at the bottom, but still better than Marmot early season.
Very little base damage.
Super good up top, lots in Fuez bowl, started to get pounded down mid mountain but still lots of life.
Mindblowing steeps, can't wait to go back for more.

Great to hear!
I will be heading out on the 15th (right after exams end). I guess they are only doing weekends up until then so i am hoping for some great snow.
I am trying to decide where to buy air to for Dec 26-31
Oregon or Calgary are the best tickets.
KH gets very mixed reviews....so folks...is it worth a try or should I hit Whistler of Baker???
It better not friggin rain...
