My mom has a pair of good langes that are old enough they don't have the cutout on the top of the boot for her calve. Can i order a new liner with the cutout? Can't afford new boots since they are building a house, but i thought maybe i could buy her some new liners if that was an option. Has anyone experimented with lifts to eliminate this problem?

What cutout at the top of the boot? (My Langes are 7 years old.) I replaced my Lange liners with Solomon liners because that's what the shop liked to use. I think liners are pretty interchangable as long as the size is right.

most liners are soft enought that the liner flexes back anyways
if she is getting calf pain a small heel lift might help, or if she likes the heel lift on the calf, but not on the foot, cut/lower the shells cuff by a few mm.
any lange dealer should be able to order a liner for $100-200 for you, or someone on this site is selling new liners for $75? Like others have said almost any liner will fit any shell
PM me if you need a hand, or more info

Yeah i think i'm going to try the heel lifts just because they are cheap. If she doesn't like that then i will call the local lange dealer and try to get a different liner. Thanks for the help.
