Anyone thinking about this? Perhaps coordinate it with the str8line camp?

Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? :)

Same as Buzz. I'd like to see a mini happen, but my job is ten times busier than last year. If anyone wants to plan it, I may be able to help.

Unemployed in Utah...

Sounds like we got us an organizer ;)

Does the mini need to be that formal? It would be nice to have a couple social events, etc. but I think the most important thing is to try to get the dates nailed down and get people to show up.

I have a shit ton of past threads you can search for and they should still have links to hotels, ........

Not much should need to be done.

Then parties.

It has been done for so long now there is little to discuss, Just as long as you nail down some dates and get some people to step up on throwing a party.

get some people to step up on throwing a party.

we're happy to do that again - or annually, providing the dates work for us, or me - i have a pretty busy 2007 schedule already.

If we have a ski day at The Canyons, I may be able to throw an after-ski pool/hottub/Bar-B-Q party.

Would this been for the maggot camp 1 or maggot camp 2 Feb 9-11 or Feb 23-25?

Someone just let me know what is happening with the parties so I can attend, get really drunk, make a bunch of touring plans, and then flake out the following day. Thanks.

All you need to know for hotels is BEST WESTERN Sandy. I was very impressed with those digs. Also, the discount ticket place is a 1 minute walk through the parking lot.

Getting married in Feb., so that will cut into ski time this year. May try to catch a late season storm.

Sounds like a good time and I would be happy to bring a keg or two of good micro down from Boise if we could rally something together.

Are you still living in PC with your boyfriend?

How was flight school or whatever it was you were doing?

I'll be skiing Alta as usual, maybe I'll see you up there.

I'd like to try to make this, but if it's 2/9-11, I'm not going to be available (I'll be slopeside at Heavenly)

Umm. No. I am looking for a place in SL. No more boyfriend. I have a month of OJT at the base before I am regular guard, go back to school, and oh, I think I saw you at BD on...sat.
I'll be skiing alta/bird this winter.

Wasn't at BD on Saturday actually. Was at the gym, on a hike and went to a rockin' Backcountry.com party with some fellow maggots-I'll be there this Saturday for the swap, selling some things. Come say hi if you see me.

Too bad about the boyfriend...I'll let you know if anyone is looking for a roommate.

Edit: sorry, I should just pm you this stuff that has nothing to do with the mini...although I'm sure I'll see you there as well.

For this reason alone, I'd be willing to host a party.... close to skiguide's house and daPigs. We should definitely do this.

It's GREAT! That just means less people will come here, see how much it sucks, then want to move here.

Based on dates I'd be willing to host a party, but I'm 100% absolutely not willing to take anyone skiing in "Northern Utah". ;)

Do I here an ice luge in the works? If so, I am in. I would be in anyway but the luge would make it all that much more enticing.

All you have to do is post the for sure dates to start off.

It doesn't have to be a huge operation like years past if you don't want.

So, post the dates it will take place. Make sure you have at least 2 parties planned. I think skiguide offered and you said you wanted to have a party at some point.

The best party is usually the Friday of the mini, then another good one possibly that Saturday (whatever dates you pick, it should be a Thurs-Sun).

So, pick the dates, post 'em up, plan where the parties will take place and you can go from there. We normally do Thurs and Fri @ Alta, backcountry another day and Sun has been Basin in years past....I like that schedule actually.

Hope that helps.

Lol, looks like we are tied between January 12-15 2007 and February 1-4 2007 at 16 votes each. Should we have another vote in the main forum?

The votes have been tallied, now I'd say it's up to the organizer to make the call.

Um...Okay.
The dates for the Utah Mini are FEB 1-4.

Reasons I chose this date:
1. The snowbird comp is at the same time
b. The snow is usually good around this time
3. Plenty of time for me to plan.:D

There will be two parties: dates to follow.
Preliminaries:
Thursday-Alta warm up
Friday- Solitude or Alta day (opinions?)
Saturday- Tour Day
Sunday- The Basin Baby!

PM me if you need help finding a place to stay or other info.
I think I might have to have one of the parties at my place. We just got a new hot tub!

ill be in california at school during that time. But, if the snow is good and i dont have anything major due, airfare is cheap and i will be there!
