(edit; forecast is in the post on Page 3)
Putting myself at the risk of offending anyone who actually believes message board postings have an infulence on the weather, I'll have a nice, detailed forecast for the Utah Mini posted here later on...
At first glance, two four-letter words come to mind...
(PS; It will be about 7pm mountain time before I have time to get the info posted here)

I'm moving to Silverton, it doens't matter anymore. (Although a classic dump at Alta would be a great going away gift...)

Cold Snow!
That's my forecast for the mini! We have a nice little storm chugging through tonight, putting down some fresh snow statewide in the high country. That snow will last through Tuesday night in earnest, then taper off.
We remain in a cold, North flow all day Wednesday, with scattered mountain snow, I'd say a few inches, same thing on Wednesday night.
Now, for the actual mini: (temps are for 8000 foot level)
I ran the computer model centered on Alta, so that's where this forecast will be most relevant for. I know the weekend plans involve Snowbasin, but I have much more experience forecasting for LCC and don't know the nuances of 'Basin weather as well. Suffice it to say, things could be a bit different there, but the overall picture should be quite similar.
Thursday:
8 degrees at Wildcat Base at opening bell, with lots of clouds streaming overhead, but not much snow, if any, falling
Afternoon highs should be around 18 degrees.
Friday:
Sunshine peeks through a bit in the morning, then clouds move in by afternoon. A bitterly cold start to the day, like 3 degrees at Wildcat. We'll warm up to about 25 as the clouds increase during the day. Snow should start around or after closing bell, and continue overnight.
Saturday: We'll be waking up to some fresh snow in the morning, I'd ballpark 5" to 10" totals, but that's going to change as the storm gets closer. Morning temperature will be around 20 degrees, and it's not going to warm at all during the day, with afternoon temperatures around 23.
Saturday night; the storm moves out, and leaves more cold air behind. The fresh snow combined with that will drop the temperature to around 0 by daybreak.
Sunday: Sunshine mixed with clouds, high temperature of 20 degrees.
Bottom line: To me, things are looking very good for a weekend of great ski conditions! :D

Hope you're right. I'm sick of this clouds and not much snow.

Lemmee help RB...winds up to 110mph just about anywhere above mid-mountain.
Good report and thanks for the headsup. Has everything been a bit behind forecast schedule the last week?

Lumpy knows blowbasin! 5-10" with 20 degree temps sounds damn good to me.
