Whats the difference? we are signing up for 24 hour race coming up and they its $100 more for the open class vs signing up for the Sport class. Do we have to prove we work for a shop or are sponsored or something? Or does it have something to do with having a NORBA liscense?
I could care less who we are competing against, we are just going out to finish the race.

"Open" in Moab requires at least one female on your team, sport is all dudes.

Yup.
I know the one race we did it was at least one female and no more than one "expert" ranked rider. Only one guy ever raced so he was our expert.

Open Class, depending on the race, has a cash pay out to the top 5. As to the Sport Class, which will only have a swag.
There should be a Open/Advanced class which is normally all dudes. But w/my 24hr Co-ed team we always race in the Open/Advanced class just for the chance to get some $$.
