I always think of August 1st as the start of the new ski season....or at least time to start getting your gear sorted out for the upcoming season. Shops are opening shortly, and '07 gear should be on it's way, with '06 gear on closeout. Ebay is heating up....or will be soon. What's on you shopping list or wish list for this year, or how are you reconfiguring your quiver? What's hot this year? Post up what you need, and maybe people can give you a heads up on where to get a good deal on it....or maybe they have what you want.

Ski Mountain Sports in Whitefish had 999's fairly cheap before they closed their doors in May - not sure what the name of the new shop is, but from what I hear the new owners took all the old merchandise, so there might be a good deal to be had there. Tried google for the new name...came up empty...I'll check it out the next time I'm down and see what I come up with.

That's not the point. What's the average age of the skis in the list I posted? 3 years? What's the average age of skis in my quiver? - older than that for sure. When I find a pair of skis (or any gear) that I like, I keep them until they wear out, which can be as little as 2 years, or as much as 10 years. Stuff I don't like goes up on ebay.

It is definitely a pain to bring 2 pair, but I always have. Just curious on your perspective. Right now I'm leaning toward bring GS race skis + Sugar Daddy's or Axioms or Pow +'s.

I got two sets of Rossi 185s for $200 each from tramdock.com, two pairs of fate pants, a fate (SP Kenny Orange) puffy, and the fate lifted jacket for non puking/storm days at half off:biggrin:. Better body armor, I just need the volkl rep to hook me up again with pro-form on the new gotamas, which he should after my finals finish in Casper Bowl @ Jackson in march.
