I'm thinking June 10 and 11th in the Boise area. Temps will be warm and rivers should be at a manageable level. There's class II-V+. A lot of cool runs on the Payette, Salmon, Clearwater, Snake and other drainages and with a little more driving you could turn it a cool road trip through the northwest. Rafters are welcome too and I've got a raft and access to more if people are not into kayaking and we need to keep significant others happy.

Will the NF be at summer flows by then?

Probably still pretty high. Lower 5 should be great and the other stuff might be where we need. The Canyon will be sweet and Middle Fork Payette Steeps might be where they need to be too. Plus, don't forget the hotsprings and lovely evenings in Boise. I was thinking later in the month would be better but I'm off to the Middle Fork on the 21st:tongue:

Me likey.
But those dates won't work for me. I'm gonna be floating/slaying trout on the Smith 6/7-6/12. Any other dates?
What about a Lochsa Summit?

A Lochsa summit instead would be sweet too. I was just throwin dates and thoughts out there to get the wheels spinning.

This weekend as in 5 days or the June 10th? Can't in five days but most of May and June could be a go.

Count me in! Those days work for me, but most days work for me since I only work half the year. :D Plus I live in Boise and could help with any planning of the summit.

Can I bring my surfboard on the raft, if there is one? If so I am in.
If not I am in anyway.

Yeah, that could work. I don't know if there will be waves suitable but possibly...it would be cool to see someone try. You've got a place to crash too if we end up doing something in Boise.

My buddy Twisted wants to take me out onto the Snake in the next couple weeks before he leaves for North Carolina for the summer. I never paddled before so it should be interesting and he is willing to hang out a little bit so I can try to surf the waves too. I have a lot of water exp. so whitewater does not really conscern me but wrighting myself once I am upside down in a boat does have me a little scared. WTF? I gotta learn somehow.

Rootskier and I hooked up this weekend and rocked the Lochsa. Saturday temps were 80 and sweet. The riv was running about 8000. Sunday we were to hook up w/ some Idaho cats and hit Lolo Creek (in Idaho). It wasn't to be, our partners were a no show. So it was back to the Lochsa for some wave thrashing good times. Looks like this week the temps are supposed to moderate, so that may keep the big flow at bay for a bit.
