I can't take it anymore, I need to get the fuck out of the states for a while. I'm thinking of ski bumming this summer somewhere in the southern hemisphere. Chile or NZ are possible targets.

So two things:

1) Anybody have any experience with the bum life in either of these places, or anywhere else in the southern hemisphere?

2) If you are interested in doing this with me, send me a PM.

do a search for the edelwiess in garmisch germany, my gf did the last 2 winters there and had a blast. you are working for the us army (there rec. department) i know she has been approached via email to go back this winter, so they are hiring. the ski mountain isn't the largest, in acres, but is on the highest peak in germany, right on the austrian border, couple hours away from st. anton and obviously many more hills. there is also the zugspitze, a glacier that has a cog train to take you to the tram.

Chile and New Zealand are the options. NZ has the most cultural similarities to Nor' America. Don't know about Chile but Wanaka is where you want to go in NZ and Treble Cone is the mountain you want to ride. Only 1 month left in the season though. Never ever ever ever ever even think about doing a season in Australia. Flat, rain, falt, ice, flat, flat wrong!!!
