I think you've mis-interpreted 'Summits'. That's the board's name for big group meetings :)

Like edg said, a bit of a misinterpretation.

But I've done it as a spring climb/ski. It's long. Start real early. Probably 6 hours to summit, and you want to be descending by 1pm. Check out Moynier's book on skiing the Sierra - it's gold.
