Ok, so I got the boots back from Earl at the Ski Loft today; and at first glance it's pretty obvious he solved my ankle problems...
My Langes now have a nice, big bump to make room for my bony ass ankles, and they feel great. I think I may take them out tomorrow for a test drive, I'll report back then.
But thanks for the 1: tip on Earl, and 2: advice in general, it got me to the right place that I had never been to before.
I also brought in a new pair of Fischer Big Stix 69 and an old set of Volkl Crossrangers, and he's taking the bindings off the Volkls and the big stix will now become my non-pow day crusiers...
If anyone has a use for the 180cm Crossrangers from 1999, let me know, they are in great shape, no damage, good edges. I just can't ski them anymore....I dropped down to a 170cm ski and can't even imagine riding the Volkls anymore...
