So I'm going to be spending the weekend up in South Lake Tahoe and am looking for people to ski with.

I'm undecided between Kirkwood and Sierra, so if anyone has suggestions then I'd appreciate that as well.

As far as my abilities go I'm an intermediate snowboarder. I had been longboard skateboarding for about a year before I started snowboarding and picked it up pretty quickly. I am usually limited to the small southern California places (mt. high and snow summit), but have been to Mammoth as well. As far as the little guys go I stick with the "black diamond" runs (which are, as you may know, nothing close to a black diamond at a normal sized resort), and at Mammoth I'm down with blue-black and black runs (not double black, not yet anyway).

I'm hoping to find someone of a similar skill level, but preferably a bit better than me. If you're already going to be skiing in that area or just live near there/will be near there/whatever and want to meet up then that would work out. It would be nice if whoever went with me was familiar with the mountain as well... you know, to show me around and stuff.

Ok, so I'm going to be skiing (snowboarding, whatever) on the 17th, 18th, and 19th. I'd love to have some company, so if anyone wants to meet up with me that, would be tight.

OK HERE'S THE CATCH: You need to call me. I'm leaving tomorrow morning and wont have computer access. I might but I can't be sure. So my phone number is 858-449-7144. LEAVE ME A MESSAGE. My name is Rhea. It's pronounced ria/rea/reeya... something along those lines. You'll hear it in the voicemail thing. I will have my boyfriend checking this while I'm gone, so he can tell me of any responses... but if you want to meet up with me then calling is best.

I suggest you post naked pics of yourself for proper evaluation of your riding skills ... and don't mention your boyfriend next time.

P.S. I feel like a proper douchebag posting this.

Edit: I thought I'd try to be somewhat helpful, go to Kirkwood and ask random people for "change for a nickel".

Who says i'm a girl? There are plenty of guys named Rhea. That happen to be gay.

...And I'm not even touching the "change for a nickel" bit.

Actually, the "change for a nickle" is one of your best bets for finding fellow maggots. Yelling "Leroy Jenkins" off every small jump is a sure way to make somes friends as well. Or just look for really stoked ppl with pm stickers.

The looks you get when you yell for change in a lineup with zero maggots is kinda interesting too. I always wonder if there ARE mags in there, but they're keeping a lid on it cuz, hey, the guy yelling is a douche.

I'm actually really impressed by your witt.

And for the record: the balls-deep powder at kirkwood was awesome. Lonely, but awesome.

Thank you, but minus 5 pts. for mis-spelling a three letter word.

Actually, the maggots are a fun bunch. All you had to do was ask for a nickel's change.

yeah i was thinking "watt". i'm not keen on meeting random people on the mountain. I also wasn't feeling very social over the weekend, so that probably didn't help. guess i'm stuck with good ol' mt. high during the week now... at least it's less than 2 hours away.
