Snow saw attachment methods?

I keep reading "or you could attach a snow saw to your ski pole" but I think to myself... how???

I know this is a serious JONG question, but it would be some useful knowledge for digging pits...

Take the basket off the end of the pole. Wrap two straps around the pole and join the snowsaw and pole together. Use ski straps if you have them.

Doesn't the saw blade attach to the shovel handle? Which should work as well, if not better than a ski pole.

Edit: ya I have tried that, come to think of it because THAT'S HOW THE SAW COMES. I just wanted a method to make the saw longer, i.e. Lurch's method.

I need to remember to ask you about this when I make my purchase, Lurch.

I have that same saw, it’s made to fit inside of a telescoping pole but is a different diameter than my BD flip locks. I wound up buying a piece of pvc pipe, cut it to a length that would just fit in my pack and bored out the inside to the proper diameter to work with the saw.
