Let me tell you that was no walk in the park.

Demented creature bit clean through my spokes and I had to thrash it with my bicycle pump until it was dissuaded. When I finally managed to incapacitate it by ramming the stuffed tube sock (with elastic band round it that I put down the front of my cycling shorts to preserve my dignity) down its throat I was thoroughly bushwhacked.

The owner was very apologetic and offered me some tickets to see the Les Dennis at the Woking Playhouse.
