skied my Explosives for the second time today at magic, conditions ranged from 1 foot deep wind and sun baked crust with 1 inch of new snow on top to skied off ice and pretty much everything in between. I had brought along my G3's just in case it was packed out but I never used them and I can't remember ever thinking god i wish i had my G3's instead of explosives. They held on the hardpack and floated me over the crust. My quiver as it stands right now is: Explosives, G4's, G3's, Concepts mounted for tele, and X-15's which are my rock boards. I think from my limited time on the G4's(about two days) that they will pretty much cover all the territory covered by the G3's, i.e. my everyday ski with the explosives covering those early/late season powder days, or the dumps in between that are too big for the G4's. The concepts are going to be my boring local hill boards/skiing with my wife boards, and the X-15s are going to stay as my rock boards.

The odd ski out is the G3's I really can't think of a good use for them, they're too nice to become rock skis and the G4's seem to be able to handle most of the conditions that the G3 shines in.

I really don't need $ right now so I'm looking for some help on what to do, but should I sell the G3's and pick up a pair of V-Pros to mount tele or buy a roof box for my car or a pair of 1080's for my wife or should I just keep the G3s so I have something pretty to look at in my hallway?

WWMD???

I would say definately sell them I have been skiing g-4's up at sugarloaf maine for two seasons now and haven't really found them to be too fat... yeah they are a little brutal in moguls but then I have my public enemies for the rest of the days. I skied the g-3's for a day and didn't like them at all (obviously this is not how you feel or what you are asking for) so maybe that is part of it. But I would say sell them and get some hippy stinx or something.
