My Spatulas are currently in the shop for mounting. In the UK.
I really hope they don't fuck it up.

Imagine a class of twelve year olds given a Masters calculus paper. That's what the guy's face looked like when I handed him the skis. There was both chin stroking and head scratching, sometimes simultaneously combined with brow furrowing and toe tapping.
His inadequate jig was of no comfort to him.

I bet he puts the bindings on the bottom.

Well all I really have to say here is that I like Snow Dog's sig.
"They're hitting the ground like sacks of wet cement!"
"Oh, the humanity!" "

If he's coordinated enough to do all that, I'm sure you'll be fine.
Actually, I take that back. I just tried it and it's not that hard.

Well...I wouldn't worry roo. Why? Because you have to look at the durability continuum ("DC"). A quick DC analysis reveals:
Durability Scale - M103
[0-------------5---------------10]
--------------------------8 = M103
Days Life - M103
[0---------------------------------------------6mo-----------------------------1yr-------------------------2+yr]
----3*days = Roo
Durability Scale - Spatula
[0-------------5---------------10]
------2.5 = Spatulas
Days Life - M103
[0---------------------------------------------6mo-----------------------------1yr-------------------------2+yr]
(-3days) = Roo
So, they're gonna break em if only to keep the model in proper working order.
*note: I couldn't remember 3 days/hours/runs or what

It wasn't an Irish Jig I hope.
Combining that with the scratching, furrowing, etc., would be rather difficult I presume.

Ay. The Irish lost most of their experienced techs during the Troubles, which has contributed mightily to their failure to field a successful Alpine team.

Ship 'em to me and I'll fix 'em for ya. Allow 3 to 5 months for testing.

My Motherships lasted eight days before they delaminated. That's a record! My Spats have to be written off already. They'll be sitting in a corner of Snow and Rock Chertsey with cracked cores, delaminated topsheets and screws poking through the bases.
ice - I saw a great cartoon once regarding Irish dancing. This guy is reaching down the back of the shelves in a library and unearths a long lost book. He wipes the dust off the cover to reveal "Irish Dancing Volume II: Use of The Arms." ;)

We can never forget the Ardnacrusha Ptex Atrocity. The Troubles saw off the all but a hardy hardcore of Techs but the Potato Famine really thinned their numbers.

I would think the timeing could have been better roo. Two weeks after getting 24hour pubs and you choose *now* to drop your spats off for mounting? Good luck man. Your going to need it.:nonono2:

Hey - I got 'em back today and they did an OK job. Unbelievable but true. Guy called Ally did the mount. Bent the brakes and everything.
Having said that, I'll probably do a Blurred and tear the toe piece out on my first turn. ;)

But are you brave enough to look under the bindings to see how many holes he had to drill before he got it right?;)

Don't know what's scarier: a UK shop trying to mount a pair of Spats - or Roo riding a pair, Audi style... ;)
