Anyone use them? Ascension/BD has phased them out, but there are still some old ones out for sale at good prices (sierra trading post). They are supposedly better in dry powder than the nylon skins. How do they perform in warmer conditions with spring snow?

Mine got wrecked real quick. They gripped fine, but the corn ate them up.
The main thing mohair does better than nylon is glide. they glide like mad. nylon grips better and is more durable.
I would eventually like to get a pair of light touring boots and lightweight waxable skis for knocking around in the woods, maybe longer less turny tours. I would definitely get mohair skins for that.
Pomoca is a good brand of mohair skins and i think tp may carry some.
