Not all of us ride double overhead sets every weekend. More often than not, I ride double overankle. Hey, it's New Hampshire. It is what it is - and it's still better than doing the laundry or going to church. So, for those of you who ride small breaks regularly, this is for you. Post 'em if you've got 'em.

Going for the rare over-ankle barrel at Rye.

I thought you were gonna mention the tasty thigh to chest swells that have been coming in lately, and then you post ankle high!
Is that a wave or a boat wake??
I think I would need a 12 foot board to get my fat ass going on that.

Have no fear, the hurricanes are coming near!!

you got to love the no breaker. knee high type deal, you know when you are just on the sweet spot and everything is clear as you move to the front of the board to keep the momentum going. no noise.

As a Maine-based surfer, I agree wholeheartedly. Dude_le's right-on about those glassy foot-high pyramids that carry you along slowly until they dump right on shore. Not as thrilling as hurricane surf (or that crazy lightning storm last Thursday -- anyone else out in that? Two second period, six foot peaks, hardest rain I've seen all summer, and lightning all around) but stoking all the same.

Small waves are like fat girls. If you hardup and havent got any in awhile you might give it a go. Although I know some guys who like Large women
, come to think of it they don't like big surf either.
