Contest was Saturday 7/23 at Marine Street in Manhattan Beach. They had a pretty good turnout with some fun surf in the morning.

Yeah, I've been spending more time shooting photos this summer instead of heading up your way to backpack, mtb, etc. Plus, I just picked up a new 500mm lens and the novelty of using it hasn't worn off yet.

Those dolphins were hanging around most of the day. There's a pod of them that pretty much always seem to hang out between El Porto and the MB Pier. In the next few frames after that shot, they all submerged as if in sync. Cool stuff :)
