Such a PAIN IN THE ASS. No one set of directions works. Pics are either too big or there is always some path error??? WTF? It should not be this difficult. :cussing:

Go to here (http://photobucket.com/register.php) and get a free photobucket account.
Photos uploaded to your account will be automatically resized if they're bigger than 250K. The photos can be rotated after you've uploaded if neccesary. Photobucket even provides [img] links to the images that can be cut&pasted from their website.
It's dead easy.

hey rusty, if you're running MS you should have the photo editor.
Go in and save the pic as a new version, use the Tools--->resize feature to shrink it down to the appropriate size and then you can easily attach it.

For the record, I never wanted to see any pics of you fucking in the first place (that picture of you making out with MD9 at the first Summit was enough)

Attach them in one of the following formats (.bmp, .gif, .jpe, .jpeg, .jpg, .png, or .psd) using the manage attachments button and upload link. If you only upload and attach one image in your post, it will display automatically at the bottom of your post.
If you upload and attach multiple pictures, upload them all first. Once they are all uploaded..
right click on one of your currently uploaded images.
click copy link location.
Then in your post, click the insert image button (looks like a picture of mountains).
Hold control and press V
Repeat this process for all of the pictures in the currently uploaded section.
-edit- if you need anymore help, ask this guy (http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/member.php?u=3547). he seems to have no problems doing it.

I always just host photos on my personal web site and link to them using the img tags. I imagine most ISPs give you some amount of web space nowadays.

COOL! ME LIKEY!
Hey, can we attach pics without the thumbnail at the bottom of the post? If there's just a link there, it's easy to embed the photos into the text of the post, which I think looks better.
Oh, and thanks for increasing the size limit on the .jpg's. that's awesome!

At this point the only way to attach inline images is to provide the url within the IMG tag. See:http://tetongravity.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=16302&d=1159327177
Like that.
