Tech JONG needs advice.
I really smacked one of my Bros yesterday on the only rock on Devil's Castle.
I have taken it to Alta Ski Shop and they are going to try to fix it
Really sad :(

Arrrgghhhh... Compression and seperation. Bummer man, that hurts to look at. Can it be fixed? Yes... Will it ever be the same? Maybe... Good luck.

A pain to fix and make it like new. Not too bad to make the just run smooth. Had to fix worse a few times this year. The 2 dents I have in my Bro's (caused by other people riding them) have just been filed smooth...no change in performance.
Do this to one of our cap rental skis and then ski on it and the whole thing falls apart. - The damage you have done is mainly cosmetic.

Thanks Idris.
The Bros are my mid-fat. I basically ski them everywhere.
I assume they will be fine in the soft stuff - with no change to performance.
I am more worried about hardpack and speed than anything.

As long as they get a good gob of epoxy all the way in there, doof doof, it should hold and ski just fine. Let me know how it works. That's the worst rock damage on a pair of Bros I've seen so far. Wish I was there to do the fix, as there's a couple tricks I'd use, such as heating the epoxy before applying it to thin it out and get total permeation and penetration into the layers and voids.
