Any recommendations?

I haven't decided where I'm gonna do my surgery, but would love to do in WA if I can make it work . . . if not, the Bay Area will be where it's at!

Warren King at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation. He's done knee work on 2 family members - excellent job. In addition he's also a team doc to the Raiders and several other bay area pro sports teams

Kevin Stone at the Stone Clinic in San Francisco. Check out his website at StoneClinic.com. He is a close family friend, has done work on my dad's knees and was to do my surgery when I did my knee in college. In fact, Dr. Stone was at the bottom of the course waiting for me and offered to fly me back to San Fran with him to operate (I ended up not needing the surgery after all). PM me if you need any other information and if you have any problems getting into see him my dad can make a call for you...let me know!

Good advice...I have a few futbol, um I mean soccer, buddies that have had their knees worked on by Stone. I've heard nothing but good things about him. He does indeed have a great reputation.

I think Kevin Stone is a solid place to start (and finish if all goes well). Was in his office today, chatted w/ him for awhile and got his recommendation for a tib/fib break specialist. He has done work for Mosely, Rapps, Fujas to name a few. His rehab program appears solid, in fact he's already got me started on one and I just suffered my injury on 2/20. Good luck.

Edit---> If you live in the Peninsula, you may want to consider a doc closer to you as it will make it much easier for your follow up appointments and rehab. Here are some leads for you:

Michael Dillingham (Redwood City) - See his clinic's website, looks like he knows his biz, and there are a bunch of other docs there too - http://www.soarmedical.com/index2.html

Or, Paul J. Mills (Palo Alto) 650.321.7303 - I haven't researched this guy's credentials, so you probably should if you use him.

If you're looking for someone in WA, Mike Morris did my husband's knee. He did a fabulous job - no complications, no infection, no post-op brace needed. He's with Virginia Mason Sports Med here in Seattle. He's the doc for the Sounders and specializes in knee scopes.
