binding butt

Thursday, while attempting to learn some new tricks in the park, I was violated... I had a backseat landing, which caused the toe of one of my bindings to rip off my left ski. This caused me to fall violently backwards onto the heel of said ski. I left the hill that night feeling some mild discomfort, embarassment, and a mixture of other feelings. At first, I was in slight denial. It was hard for me to admit, to others and even myself, what had happened. After having so many good days on those skis, I still find it hard to believe they would take advantage of me in such a way. 2 days later, I'm finding it difficult to sit down on hard surfaces and am debating buying a donut to sit on. Anyone ever had a similar experience? Stories, recommendations and support group info would be great....

Its hard at first to accept, but you'll be ok.
The binding tried to rape you man.
You're not alone, many people have had this happen to them and they're all supportive.

You could have bruised your tailbone, if its not better by monday I'd consider going to the doctor.

I, too, have felt the pain of binding butt. It took me years to recover. I am only now able to look my bindings in the face. I used to get flustered and have to leave the room.

That's nothing, my oldschool GEZE's took advantage of me when I was sandskiing in shorts. There was sand involved. I've never spoken of this until now.

I got violated that way by my Look P12's while charging a mogul field. Wound up with a ruptured blood vessle and a trip to the ER and almost a surgery...........I will say that coming from boarding to sking, the injuries on skis are definately more interesting and far more painfull.
