Dear Diary, Reign or Reign X for 650b?

Choices, choices.
Reign will be a better all-rounder, but X has that extra 3/4 inch.
X might be a hair taller, which will be an issue with the 650b hoops.
Reign has press fit bb, so chain guide might be problematic.
x with the 26" will likely be the choice for Teton Pass/village/Targhee, but maybe not.
Either choice will have a 36 Talas until the 34 Talas 650 forks start shipping.

Have you checked the Intense Tracer 2 with the 650b modular drop outs? Me looking hard at that one even though I have an 09 Stumpy FSR that pretty much rocks it.

Norco has some nice looking 650b frame but they are not due out till 2013.

BTW I love the Talas 32 on my Stumpy, I often dial it out for the downs and back in for the tight techy stuff and climbing.

As of right now, I am obligated to Giant (which is a great thing). This will likely be an 'interim' bike until the 2014' 650's hit production.
