I'm 160 5' 10". I was recently given a pair of 187cm Coreupt Slashers and I'm wondering if this ski would be to long to work as a back country jib ski. Should I consider going shorter? Or will a really forward mount on these work well? Looking for something to butter, throw threes, and land switch. Could trade these in for a 179...

Keep them. 179 for someone your size is tiny.

I second that. Better to go to big than to small, at least with most skis.

Sweet thanks for assurance. Mounting them with dukes at -2.

I skied the 187 last weekend. It was a pretty fun ski.
But the factory mount is waaaaay too far forward IMO. I had the demo bindings mounted back as far as they would go(about -2cm) and they could probably go back a touch further.
I was surprised at how much camber they had. And at how light they were considering I was skiing them with a Jester demo binding.
