I'm trying to get a pair of Ess VAR bindings off of some Kahuna's (old ones) I picked up. How the hell do I get the toe piece off? I've gotten the heel and the metal piece joining the toe and heel, but I can't figure out how to get the toe off. Help.

What's a Burly Fat Hooker got to do with anything?

If I remember right you should be able to release the tabs on the sliding part to move the toe. They look like ears turned towards each other, Rotate them out and slide the toe-piece. As mentioned, you may need a BFH, to accomplish this.

At the risk of stepping into a trap...

What is a BFH?

Thanks guys.

The BFH isn't working though. I see the little tabs, I just can't get them to move.

maybe if you put the BFS onto the tab and smack it with the BFH.

There are few things a BFH won't move, you do have to be careful of unintended consequences of using the aforementioned BFH however.

Yeah, I did that, I hit it a few times in the direction the thing would seem to go and it just dented the metal.

Maybe a few beers would help...

If I remember right, if you are looking over the ski with the tip in front of you, the taps should look like ears on the wrong side. The right one should rotate clockwise, and the left should rotate counter-clockwise.
Give it a little wd-40 first. Oh, and pounding down on it won't help as they rotate out, that will only hinder it. If anything tap them in the direction I mentioned.;)

I kind of see what you are getting at. I'd have to pull on the tab with a pair of pliers to rotate them the way you are indicating. That doesn't seem to be working.

I'm going to try and post a picture.
