A dude I know is selling his Line Darksides. They're grey and black w/ "Darkside" written in red. How old are these? How are they as an all mtn. ski? Anyone know dimensions? MeatDrink, didn't you have a pair of these?
Depending on what year they are either 73 or 76 in the waist....Line would tell you they are good all-mtn but i wouldnt trust em going at anything more than -2 mph...in my opinion Line makes park skis, and thats it...
just my 2 cents
love the pic....farva is my hero

I loved my darksides and I'm liking my new ones even more. They're a great ski IMO.

The Line FX 7.3s are supposedly the new models (carbon or titanium) of the darkside. I have both pair - carbon and titanium - in size 175cm. I'm 6ft and 180lbs and ride hard and fast (they're the same graphics, except carbon is yellow and titanium is gray, though oddly, the titaniums came pre-drilled and the carbons didn't - don't know if that's an indication of model year). They have a 78 mid width.
Not sure if this is any indication of the old models, but....
These are definitely NOT park skies.
Ridden the carbons twice now: once on a rock solid east coast day and they rocked - held an edge superbly at high speed.
Yesterday in 4+ inches of heavy new snow - weren't bad at all and plowed the crud nicely, but could have been better.
So far I love the carbons - I held out on my old straight slalom skies as long as I could because I couldn't find a shaped ski I could go straight on...these like all shaped still want to be on edge, but I surely don't feel like I'm about to bite it when I'm cursing on these like I have on other shaped. These are it - they're way better than any other shaped ski I've tried (granted I haven't been on more than 5 or so pair of shaped, but whatever).
Can't wait to try the titanium as I think they'll be even better at high speed, though expect they won't be as snappy.
