Hi,
Me 5'7, 170 - 175lbs depending on winter fat levels, advanced/expert skier, don't huck off anything big, ski 30 days a year, just getting in to backcountry.
I was getting my ass kicked last week with a really fast buddy who was on 185cm Line Motherships while I was on my 185cm Line EP Pros. Skiing fast in chopped up pow and soft big bumps. We were going really fast. He was blasting through everything while d I was bouncing on the EPs. Not a surprise as the EPs are not made for that, but I am looking for a second ski as a daily driver and sidecountry ski (at Mt Baker). . I will be mounting Marker Barons on these new skiis
I like Lines and was thinking a Line Influence 105 a hard charging type ski to complement the EPs but fear it may be a bit heavy for touring (not that I plan to do huge tours).
I have been intrigued by Moment skiis on this forum and I see a lot of them at Baker.
Evo.com has a pair of 2011 Rubys for relatively cheap ($450).
Note: I do plan to demo a pair of 182cm Jag Sharks from Glacier Ski shop in the next week.
Specs/prices:
2012 Moment Jag Shark 182cm, 143/116/129 ($725 + tax)
OR
2011 Moment Ruby 180cm, 141/111/129 ($450 + tax)
My question.....just wondering how similar the Ruby is to the Jag Shark? Basically the Ruby looks like a Jag Shark without tip rocker?
Thanks
