Maybe you guys can help. I am at Big Sky right now. SWMBO just had a great day of skiing, but is complaining about her boots. She has lost a lot of wait since last winter (good thing for everybody involved) and we spent a fair bit oif time trying to adjust buckles to take up the space that used to be occupied by her calves, both of which suffered serious inflammation last ski season as a result of calf tears incured playing dryland sports. The complaint is that in order to get support around the calves, and to avoid hell lift, she has to tighten them down pretty hard, but then she has excess pressure right over the ankle bones. We're hoping for snow tonight and I'm hoping to show her some skiing tomorrow that will challenge her, so I'm trying to find a quick solution.
The boots in question are a pair of 4 year old or so Head efit 9.0. The liners are labeled Superheat3. Does anyone know if this is a heat moldable liner? If so, do you think I'll have any success trying to use a non-convection oven to mold these tonight?
I've tried to use a variety of serach engines to find answers to these questions, but my internet connection is pretty darn slow here. TGR is one of the few things that loads reasonably quickly.
Edit: determined this is indeed a heat moldable liner, so is it worth trying to mold in a standard oven?
