I'm 6'3" 195lbs, ex-racer, been in the Nordica Speedmachine 14's for awhile...liners are shot, and I'm thinking it's time to move on. I've definitely transitioned into more of an all-mtn/big mtn skier, and want something with that aggressive fit and flex, but more absorption for skiing crud and droppin off modest rocks n cliffs. The SM's are not too forgiving in this area... A couple of routine drops off pyramid rock @ lake chutes renders my feet dead for the rest of the day.

Anyone else in this boat? I've read about the new Nordica Girish Pro, Fischer X-120, etc... But nothing really firsthand.. Any input?

Thanks peeps. Sweet.

If your liners are shot, get some Intuitions.

Aside from that, some custom footbeds will help tremendously on the other things you've mentioned. It will be a hulluva lot cheaper than new boots and you can keep the performance of your Speedmachines.

Im looking at the Tecnica Bodacious at the moment. A little gaudy but they seem like something you should look at.

dude, don't look further than the dalbello scorpion. i'm an ex racer as well and am in the 130 race version, best fitting, best skiing boot i've ever been in. throw some booster straps in and they kick ass. there's a freeski version this year as well i'm trying to get my hands on with intuition liner and soft sole.

If you have a narrow foot i would recommend the "full tilt first chair". i like it because it is super light weight and very stiff.
