Typically when I see postings in here about really cool things like this, I think "oh no, a dream job, and I'm going to miss it because my resume will be lost in a sea of 300 others!"
Then, I started reading the requirements they're looking for. There might be two people world-wide that could possibly meet every criterion. And then they want them to travel to trade shows? Sounds like they're looking for one person to do the job of 4-6.
Want a marketer/product tester/sales rep? I'm in. Want a project manager? I'll do that, and maybe chip in at trade shows, too (I think you want to send your sales reps there, though...).
Hopefully someone here is renaissance-man enough to snag this job!

I do that job plus ten others. The only difference is I don't have to fly to China to do it.
Not that I wouldn't mind the travel....

Yeah, I hear ya. Unfortunately it seems to be more and more the norm (especially in small to midsize companies) to have "requirements" that cover the span of 5+ different job titles.
To me, it sounds like they want a composites engineer with either industry experience, or some other quality-focused (defense?) industry. I would imagine that someone with the 7-10+ years of experience will most likely have the PM skills they're looking for.
Anyone know if ski companies really adhere to ISO standards?

They're looking for a badass composites engineer that knows how to get shit done in China. From my enginerd friends, going to China is part of the normal job these days. I imagine anyone with extensive defense/racing/aeronautics/rec goods experience would have the skills needed.

I'm not seeing many in defense or aerospace being a badass who knows how to get shit done in China, and ime, it's a substantial shift in thinking to move to the things that people can actually buy manufacturing from defense
But this is all tea leaf reading. Except for the useless evil of ISO documentation
