Stanley/Ketchum Current Trail Conditions?

Found the weekly forest service report for the Ketchum / Sun Valley trails -- looks like they're good to go.

All I can find for Stanley is the Sawtooth National Recreation Area Report, dated July 11, but most of the info in there is older than that.

Anybody been out that way? Are trails being cleared? Any snow left?

I just got back from riding at sun valley. It was dry and dusty, but way fun. Just from looking around i would say that all the trails should be good.

Everything is pretty prime right now. I rode in the Stanley area on Saturday and it was bomber as usual. I'd say all the major trials have been cleared however Fisher had a few bridges out from high water.

Thanks, guys. I figured things ought to be good to go, but that SNRA rec. report (http://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DOCUMENTS/stelprdb5303057.pdf) made the trail conditions sound pretty dire.

I did a couple rides in the area this weekend. Up Greenhorn Gulch was very nice condition, down Imperial was a lot of moon dust but still plenty of fun. Much of that trail is freshly cut from a recent reroute. Fisher Creek was great as always, but sandier than I can remember seeing it. Plenty of sketchy front wheel washes in the corners. There are 2 bridges out, but stream crossings are more fun, right?

Everything that we rode this past weekend was clear of snow and debris and in good shape, but starting to get dry and dusty. The missing bridges on Fisher are a non-issue as they are well marked. We went out and back on Big Casino and it was all clear. Spoke to a group at the trailhead who said the entire loop was good to go.

Random side note: we camped at the Lakeview campground at Stanley Lake. The water tasted fine, but both my girlfriend and I had upset stomachs the entire time. Just FYI if anyone decides to camp in that area.

Hey dude, I was wondering if those bridge washouts require deep or at all sketchy stream crossingbs cause I am still in gimp mode and was thinking of going down there for a change of scenery and to ride some mostly buff, non technical trails. Can you just coast on thru or does it take hub deep pedaling? The distinction is important to me as I must weigh my risk and reward carefully but Fischer Creek sounds like it's good otherwise. What's that Big Casino ride like, worth checking out/not too techy?

I am gonna spend a couple days there and thinking of riding some of the easier loops in Sun Valley as well. Any advice would greatly be appreciated from those who have ridden down there. I wanna be mostly safe and mellow but wanna get some bang for my buck too, maybe get up to the alpine and avoid moon dust and horsefly country if at all reasonable. My biggest nemesisis right now would be deep creek crossings, extended rock gardens, narrow trails with lots of pedal grabbers, or anything really steep or super loose and sandy. Thanks!

^ i rode fisher yesterday.

there are 2 bridges that are out; both on the downhill section. none of them are sketchy, the streams are maybe 6" deep of water.

(1) has flags marking you to stop, there is a log laid across the bridge thats slightly unstable. i walked it no problem, rolled my bike through the water.

(2) its at the end, half of the bridge is still there, you can ride it across still, walking across is easy and stable.

Thanks man, that sounds good. At least I can roll aroud on fischer creek. Otherwise prolly just cruise some of the easy trails in Sun Valley and call it. Penty to come back for in the fall, its not that far really. I'm stoked.
