Being tired of crappy Scandinavian furniture, I'm looking for a carpenter in the Seattle area to build 4~5 strong, simple bookshelves out of American hardwood.
I just don't think that Ballard Bookshelf Company is charging a good price.
Needs:
Prefer to pay fellow maggot in cash, some percentage up front.
Prefer long-lasting joinery.
Shelves should not deform when moving or warp when loaded heavily (reenforce as necessary)
Metal fastening is acceptable where needed (e.g. angle iron for reenforcement) but less desirable where joinery is feasible.
Shelves are to be sanded and stained.
Your own tools, workspace, and truck to move the finished product to my place.
Parts/materials to be discussed and paid separately from labor.
PM please.
