Hi guys,

can anyone tell me what kind of binding this is: http://pics.ricardostatic.ch/ImgUsers/2/6/646/64624/6462450/646245096_2_Big.jpg ? Is it any good?

thanks.

I'm no expert, but it looks to be a 900S with the red lifter plate. Plastic heel and toe, which while lightweight isn't the most robust, but shouldn't present too much of an issue given that DIN only goes to 12 ...

Thanks.

Anyone skiing it?

I'm a weakling normally skiing on a Griffon or Rossi Freeski 12DIN with DIN set to 8 all the time... Would it be suitable for me?

Has it the same hole pattern as more modern Salomon bindings?

sure, same hole pattern as current salomons

I'd get it tested first, to make sure it releases fine.

it is not on salomons indemnification list anymore

900s w/ axe + plate

unless you find new screws, you will need to use that plate a well

most would argue that is a better binding (asssuming it passes RV tests) than the current z12 offering, but is no longer indemnified, so shops may decline to mount it/ work on it.

I don't remember a 900 in that color combo, but I could be wrong.

I think it's and 850. The only thing that changes is the DIN. The 850s only went up to 10.

Looks like 12 DIN, you can just make out the black marking where they color in the DIN range > 10

900 Carbon Spheric, 12 DIN with a Driver + Plate. IMHO, it should be indemnified but isn't.

i have a pair, not skiing them currently though. goes to 12 (which is past 11). works with new brakes. you can loose the plate- it is mounted with a non-original one, pretty sure they came with a gold anodized one, not red.
