Has anyone tried both of these helmets on? How do they compare in fit. I have used the Nine in the past and liked the fit, but after cracking it I need to get a new helmet.
The local shops do not have the fuse.
Thanks

Make sure you try the Fuse on. They're shaped differently - the fuse is more round and the Nine is more oval. I wanted a Fuse, but the shape won't fit on my head at all, and the Nine fits great.

They do fit diff. I liked the fit on the 9 a bit better, but the on/off vent switch on the Fuse is sweet so that's the way I went.

The fuse is way more expensive. If the nine fits, i'd stick with it. killer helmet. The fuse switch is gimmicky IMHO.

I tried on both and agree with what has been said. The Fuse is actually 1.0 oz heavier than the Nine, but has 4 more vents than the Nine. I took the Nine, cause my head didnt fit right in the Fuse, as well as price being and option.
here is a comparo for you from Giro

Another vote for trying it on before you buy it.

The other nice feature is that there's a second model of the fuse that has a headphone jack in the earflaps. Adds like $10 to the price of the normal model.

FYI: You can add those ear flaps to any Giro 9, 9MX or Fuse by buying a TuneUps earlflap kit.

Nine fits narrow, elongated alien heads - like mine. The nine was one of the few to fit. If your head is round it might not be so great.

I also tried on both and ended up going with the 9. Try them both though, as others have already recommended....
